WISET main impact – CELSA

For ergonomics, the analysis of arm movements during different products manufacturing has led to introduce some changes in the processes. Some pieces are now processed in other machines in order to decrease the number of arms-up movements. This way, workers’  health and safety are improved (as well as performance, due to better production rhythm.

For logistics, the use of the real time positioning system has allowed to improve times and distances: reduction of 35% for truck loading times, 40% less distance travelled by cranes and 35% less distance travelled by crane operators. This has already originated savings of more than 40.000 EUR. Additionally, the reduction of distance travelled by the cranes signifies a direct reduction in cost of energy and maintenance.
